Promoting a living art form

A solo entertainer blending traditional steel band favorites with todays party tunes. Dave's background comes from extensive travel in both the Caribbean and the world. After falling in love with pan in the islands, he studied with top professionals in both Arizona and the Chicago area, apprenticing with one of the top pan builders in the world for nearly three years learning to build pans. During this time his experience as a percussionist and drum set player and a pannist include: Hinton Battle - star on Broadway, Tropical Breeze, NIU Steel Band - World Steel band festival finalists, Pangaia Steel Band, and the University of Arizona Steel Band.

Dave can be seen regularly performing his solo act  around town with the steel band Rusted Steel. As a private teacher and clinician he also promotes the steel drum and Caribbean music in the Buffalo and Rochester area.
